Qualification Eligibility
- Only Indian nationals are eligible to apply.
- Graduate Apprentices (B.E / B.Tech): Candidates must have passed 4-year B.E / B.Tech in Electronics and Communication Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or Computer Science or Information Technology, recognized by AICTE or GOI, on or after 01.10.2023.
- Graduate Apprentices (B.Sc., B.Com, B.A.): Candidates must have passed the 3-year course recognized by AICTE or GOI on or after 01.10.2023.
- Diploma Apprentices: Candidates must have passed the respective discipline (Electrical or Mechanical Engineering) from AICTE or GOI approved institutes on or after 01.10.2023.
- ITI Apprentices: Candidates must have a certificate of completion in the respective trade issued by the National Council for Vocational Training / State Council for Vocational Training.
- Candidates who have undergone or are undergoing apprenticeship training under NATS or NAPS in any other establishment or organisation are not eligible.
Age Limit
The upper age limit is as on 01.10.2026:
- Graduate Apprentices and Diploma Apprentices: 25 years
- ITI Apprentices: 21 years
Age relaxation: 5 years for SC and ST candidates, 3 years for OBC candidates and 10 years for Persons with Benchmark Disabilities.
Salary and Facilities
The monthly stipend depends on the apprentice category and discipline:
- B.Tech / B.E. Graduate Apprentices: ₹17,500 per month
- B.Sc, B.Com or B.A. Graduate Apprentices: ₹12,500 per month
- Diploma Apprentices: ₹12,500 per month
- ITI Apprentices (Fitter, Turner, Machinist, Electrician, Draughtsman Mechanical): ₹11,040 per month
- ITI Apprentices (COPA, Welder G & E): ₹10,560 per month
Other Facilities and Conditions
- Canteen facility will be provided at nominal rates.
- No accommodation facility will be provided.
- No TA/DA will be paid to candidates appearing for the recruitment and selection process.
- During the apprenticeship, candidates will be governed by the Apprentices Act, 1961 and the policies and rules of the organisation.
Selection Process
- Selection will be based on the marks obtained by candidates in the interview conducted by BEL, Navi Mumbai.
- Minimum qualifying marks in the interview: General / EWS / OBC-NCL candidates 35%, and SC / ST / PwBD candidates 30%.
- Statutory reservation will be as per Government norms.
- Shortlisted candidates will be informed through e-mail, followed by the list of selected candidates being published on the BEL website.
- Graduate and Diploma Apprentices should register on the NATS portal, and ITI Apprentices should register on the NAPS portal.
- Interested candidates can also register directly on the day of the walk-in interview drive.
- Suppression of facts or giving false information will lead to disqualification or rejection of candidature.
