NWR Apprentice Recruitment 2026-27: Apply Online for 2008 ITI Apprentice Slots (Notice No. 04/2026)
Short Description
North Western Railway, through Railway Recruitment Cell (RRC) Jaipur, has released the revised notification for the engagement of Act Apprentices under the Apprentices Act 1961 for the year 2026-27.
The notification is against 2008 slots in different trades at workshops and units of North Western Railway. ITI pass candidates can apply online from 23.10.2026 to 22.11.2026 on www.rrcjaipur.in.
As per the notice, the earlier notification issued on 01.10.2026 has been cancelled and the revised notification dated 21.10.2026 is the valid one.

The recruitment is conducted by North Western Railway. Railway Recruitment Cell, North Western Railway (RRC/NWR), Jaipur is the nodal agency for receiving online applications and preparing the merit list. This is a centralized notification for North Western Railway units.

The notification mentions trades such as Electrician, Fitter, Welder, Carpenter, Painter, Diesel Mechanic, Electronics Mechanic, Computer Operator and Programming Assistant, Turner/Machinist, Plumber, Mason, Refrigeration and Air Conditioning, and others.
The trades and slots differ from unit to unit, so candidates should check the unit-wise table in the official notification before choosing a unit.
The notice clearly advises candidates not to select a unit where there is no training slot for their ITI trade. Changes are not allowed after final submission, and multiple applications will be rejected.
Qualification Eligibility
Candidates must fulfil the following educational qualification:
- Passed 10th class examination or its equivalent (under 10+2 system) from a recognized Board with minimum 50% marks in aggregate (no rounding off will be done).
- Must have National Trade Certificate in the notified trade issued by NCVT / SCVT.
- The qualification must be from a recognized Board / Government University / Institute as on the date of submission of the application.
- Candidates who are awaiting the result of final exams need not apply.
Age Limit
Candidates should have completed 15 years of age and should not have completed 24 years of age as on 22.11.2026.

Salary and Facilities
Training period and stipend will be as per the existing rules and directives issued by Railway Board from time to time. The exact stipend amount is Not Mentioned in the Notification poster / pdf.
- No hostel accommodation will be provided. Selected candidates have to make their own arrangement during training.
- No daily allowance, conveyance allowance or travelling allowance will be paid to candidates called for document verification.
- Training in Railway does not give any right to absorption or employment in Railway after completion of training.
Selection Process
- Selection will be based on a merit list prepared from all candidates who apply against this notification.
- The merit list will be prepared on the basis of percentage of marks in Matriculation (with minimum 50% aggregate marks) and ITI marks in the trade in which apprenticeship is to be done.
- The panel will be made on the basis of the simple average of marks in Matriculation and ITI.
- For Matriculation percentage, marks obtained in all subjects will be counted, not marks of any one subject or group of subjects.
- For ITI percentage, marks mentioned in the provisional or final certificate will be counted.
- If two candidates have the same marks, the older candidate will be preferred. If date of birth is also same, the candidate who passed Matriculation earlier will be considered first.
- The final merit list will be prepared Division/Unit wise, Trade wise and Community wise, equal to the number of slots.
- No centralized merit list will be formed. After the merit list is prepared, it will be sent to the respective Divisions/Units.
- Based on merit, trade and vacancy, Document Verification and Medical Examination will be held in the opted Division/Unit.
- Finally enlisted candidates will be subject to verification of original testimonials and production of medical certificate as per Annexure-IV.
Important Documents
Candidates should keep the following documents ready for document verification, as mentioned in the notification:
- Printout of the online application
- Original Aadhaar Card (12-digit Aadhaar number is also required at the time of registration)
- Matriculation or equivalent certificate and marksheet (name, father's name and date of birth must exactly match the online application)
- ITI provisional / final certificate and marksheet (NCVT / SCVT National Trade Certificate)
- Two additional copies of the same photograph used in the application
- Medical fitness certificate in the prescribed format (Annexure-IV), signed by a Government authorized doctor (Gazetted) not below the rank of Assistant Surgeon of Central / State Hospital
- SC/ST candidates: Caste certificate in Central Government format (Annexure-I)
- OBC candidates: Caste certificate and Non-Creamy Layer certificate issued on or after 01.04.2026 in Central Government format (Annexure-II) and OBC Declaration (Annexure-IIA)
- EWS candidates: EWS certificate in the prescribed format (Annexure-III)
- Ex-Servicemen: Discharge certificate. For children of Ex-Servicemen or Armed Forces Personnel: Discharge certificate or Armed Forces serving certificate of the parent
- PwBD candidates: Disability certificate from a competent authority (Annexure-V A, V B, V C and V D)
Photograph and signature for online application:
- Colour photograph: 3.5 cm x 3.5 cm, not older than three months, JPG/JPEG format, 100 DPI, file size 20 KB to 70 KB, clear front view without cap and sunglasses.
- Signature: 3.5 cm x 2.5 cm, JPG/JPEG format, 100 DPI, file size 20 KB to 30 KB.
Candidates should also give an active mobile number and a valid email ID in the online application, as important messages will be sent by email/SMS.
