NLC India Limited, a Navratna Government of India Enterprise under the Ministry of Coal, has invited online applications for ITI Trade Apprentices and Graduate (Non Engineering) Apprentices under Advt. No. L&DC/04/2026.
The training will be held at Neyveli and RO-Chennai. A total of 1067 training slots are available (700 for Trade Apprentices and 367 for Graduate Apprentices).

Other Eligibility Requirements
- Graduate (Non Engineering) candidates should have passed the qualifying examination in 2022, 2023, 2024, 2025 or 2026.
- Year of passing is not applicable to ITI passed candidates.
- Candidates should not have previously undergone, or be currently undergoing, NAPS/NATS and PM Interns Scheme at NLC India Limited or elsewhere.
- Reservation for SC/ST/OBC/EWS/PwBD candidates will be provided as per the Apprentices Act. Candidates claiming reservation must submit the required certificates in the prescribed Government format.
- OBC (Non-Creamy Layer) candidates must submit a valid OBC-NCL certificate in the prescribed format, valid from 01-04-2026. If the required certificate is not submitted, the candidate will be considered under the General category.
Age Limit
Minimum Age: 18 years, as per Section 3(a) of the Apprenticeship Act 1961. The age must be completed on or before 31 October 2026.

Completion of apprenticeship training at NLCIL does not give candidates any right to claim temporary or permanent employment in NLC India Limited.
Selection Process
- Trade Apprentices: Selection will be based on the percentage of marks obtained in the qualifying ITI examination.
- Graduate (Non Engineering) Apprentices: Selection will be based on the percentage of marks obtained in the Bachelor's Degree, calculated as per the procedure followed by the University/Institution.
- If a candidate is awarded Grades/CGPA instead of marks, the percentage will be calculated as per the conversion procedure of the University/Institution.
- If the University/Institution has no established scheme, the equivalent percentage will be calculated by multiplying the Grade/CGPA by 10.
- If marks are awarded semester-wise, the average of the percentage of marks in all semesters from the first year to the final year will be taken.
- If marks are awarded year-wise, the average of the percentage of marks in all years from the first year to the final year will be taken.
- Candidates must furnish a certificate from the concerned University/Institute regarding the equivalent aggregate percentage of marks with reference to their CGPA/OGPA.
- If two or more candidates secure the same percentage of marks at the cut-off level, preference will be given to the older candidate based on date of birth.

Candidates who completed their course in 2026 but have not yet received the Provisional Certificate may submit a Temporary Provisional Certificate in the prescribed format. It must be issued on the official letterhead of the institution and signed and sealed by the Principal.
