ITR DRDO Chandipur Graduate and Technician Apprentice Recruitment 2026 – Apply by 02 November
Integrated Test Range (ITR), Chandipur under Defence Research and Development Organisation (DRDO) has released an advertisement for engagement of Graduate and Technician (Diploma) Apprentices for a period of one year. Eligible Indian nationals who have passed the required qualification in the years 2022 to 2026 can apply in the prescribed format before the last date.
1. Short Description
ITR, Chandipur invites applications for Graduate Apprentice and Technician (Diploma) Apprentice positions under the provisions of the Apprentice Act, 1961, and Apprentice Rules 1992. The training period is one year.
Candidates must be registered on the NATS portal and send their applications by post on or before 02 November 2026.

4. Qualification Eligibility
Candidates must fulfill the following conditions:
- B.E/B.Tech/Diploma/BBA/B.Com/B.Lib.Sc candidates must have registered their names at https://www.nats.education.gov.in. Non-registered candidates are likely to be rejected.
- Candidates who have passed their B.E/B.Tech/Diploma/BBA/B.Com/B.Lib.Sc degree in the year 2022, 2023, 2024, 2025 and 2026 are eligible to apply. Candidates who have passed the qualifying examination earlier than 2022 are not eligible.
- Candidates with higher qualification are NOT eligible to apply.
- Those candidates who have completed the qualifying examination as REGULAR candidates are only eligible to apply.
- B.E/B.Tech/Diploma/BBA/B.Com/B.Lib.Sc degree holders who had training or job experience for a period of one year or more after attaining the essential qualifications shall NOT be eligible for being engaged as an apprentice under the act.
- PwBD candidates are eligible ONLY for the designated trades as per Apprenticeship Rules 1992.
5. Age Limit
Minimum Age NOT less than 18 years. For Maximum age and relaxation as per the Apprentices Act-1961, Apprentices Rules 1992 and NATS 2.0 / NAPS Guidelines.
6. Salary and Facilities
Stipend:
- Graduate Apprentice: Rs. 12300/- per month
- Technician (Diploma) Apprentice: Rs. 10900/- per month
The period of training will be 12 months commencing from execution of the Contract of Apprenticeship. Selected candidates must execute a Contract for a period of 12 months of training as per provisions of the Apprentices Act, 1961 and rules framed there under.
It shall not be obligatory on the part of the Integrated Test Range, Chandipur to offer any employment to any apprentice after completion of period of his/her apprenticeship training.
The apprentices will not be provided any Govt. quarters / hostel accommodation / transport by this establishment at the time of Written/Interview and also during the training period.
Selected candidates have to submit the “Medical Fitness Certificate” at the time of joining.
7. Selection Process in Points
- Selection will be made on the basis of Written Test / Personal Interview / Both for shortlisted candidates only.
- ITR reserves the right to adopt its own method of short-listing and is NOT obliged to shortlist all the candidates who fulfill the minimum requirement. Mere fulfillment of requirements as laid down in the advertisement does not qualify a candidate to be selected.
- The Director, ITR reserves the right to increase or decrease the number of vacancies or to withdraw/cancel the advertisement / selection process, if circumstances so warranted without assigning any reason thereof.
- Reservations will be applied as per the provisions of The Apprentices Act 1961 and Apprentice Rules 1992 as amended from time to time.
- Canvassing / influencing in any form shall lead to disqualification of the candidate. Suppression of facts will lead to disqualification at any stage of the selection process.
- Verification of credentials shall be done for selected candidates prior to creation of contract. In case of any deviation or non-conformity with the desired qualification, candidature of the candidate shall be summarily rejected.
- No TA / DA will be paid to the applicants called for at any stage of the selection process.

The marks obtained in the qualifying exam are to be mandatorily mentioned in percentage. In case of CGPA, candidates are requested to convert the CGPA into percentage as per their university norms.
