Age Limit
The minimum age is 18 years as on 08 October 2026.
Physical standards will be as prescribed under the Apprentices Act, 1961, Apprenticeship Rules, 1992, and amendments made from time to time.
Salary and Facilities
Selected apprentices will receive a monthly stipend of ₹11,000 during the apprenticeship training period.

Apprenticeship is for training purposes. Completion of the apprenticeship does not create an automatic right to employment in Cochin Shipyard Limited.
Selection Process
The selection process will be based on merit. Candidates will first be shortlisted according to the percentage of marks obtained in the prescribed qualification applicable to their respective trade or discipline.
If candidates have the same percentage of marks, relative merit will be decided based on seniority in age.
Shortlisted candidates will be informed through their registered email ID and will have to appear for certificate verification. After successful certificate verification, candidates will be provisionally considered according to merit and reservation, subject to medical fitness.
Selected candidates will have to execute the apprenticeship contract agreement through the Apprenticeship India portal.
