Qualification Eligibility
1. Constable (Veterinary) - 10th with Science + 1 year experience in Veterinary Hospital
2. Constable (Driver) – Male only 10th pass + valid Heavy Vehicle Driving Licence
3. Constable (Gardener, Water Carrier, Cobbler, Tailor, Washerman, Barber, Waiter) - Matriculation + 2 years trade experience OR 1-year ITI certificate + 1 year experience OR 2-year ITI Diploma + Trade Test
4. Constable (Carpenter) - Matriculation + 2 years experience OR ITI certificate/diploma + Trade Test.
5. Constable (Nursing Orderly) - 10th pass + First Aid certificate (St. John’s/Red Cross) + 1 year experience in 50+ bedded hospital
Note:- Multi-skilled candidates get preference. Candidates must qualify the Trade/Skill Test.
Age Limit
1. Constable (Veterinary, Driver, Nursing Orderly): 18-27 years
2. Constable (Carpenter): 18-25 years
3. All other trades (Gardener, Water Carrier, etc.): 18-23 years
Age Relaxation (as on closing date)
SC/ST: 5 years
OBC: 3 years
Ex-Servicemen: 3 years after deduction of military service
Departmental candidates, J&K/Ladakh domiciled, 1984 riot victims – additional relaxation as per rules.
Salary and Facilities
Basic Pay:- Level-3 in Pay Matrix – Rs. 21,700 To 69,100 per month.
Allowances:- Dearness Allowance, Ration Money, House Rent Allowance, and other admissible allowances as per SSB rules.
Selection Process
Physical Efficiency Test (PET) and Physical Standard Test (PST)
1. Male: 4.8 km race in 24 minutes
2. Female: 2.4 km race in 18 minutes
Height and Chest measurements as per category (relaxation for certain regions & ST candidates)
Written Examination (Computer Based Test) – 100 marks (Objective MCQs on GK, Maths, Reasoning, English/Hindi)
Qualifying marks: 50% (UR/EWS/OBC/ESM), 45% (SC/ST)
Documentation & Skill/Trade Test (50 marks, qualifying in nature)
Detailed Medical Examination (DME) and Review Medical Examination (RME)
Final merit is prepared on the basis of Written Examination marks only.
